Jennifer Roberts, Executive Director

Jennifer joined BPM Senior Living in 1998 as Kingswood Court nurse. In 2003 she became Executive Director in Corvallis at Regent Court, a “sister” memory care community and in 2006 she returned to Sheldon Park as Executive Director. Jennifer has 15 years of experience as a nurse in rehabilitation, long-term care and dementia care. Throughout her experiences she obtained a vision of how staff should work together to provide the highest level of care for the residents. Jennifer is currently on the Educational Committee for the Alzheimer’s Association, Co-Captain for the Sheldon Park Memory Walk Team and volunteers as a mentor for teenagers in foster care. In her spare time she is an avid photographer, often exploring the back roads of Oregon for the “perfect shot”. She is married to a local physician, Dr. John Roberts and has a daughter Courtney, who has been entertaining the Kingswood Residents by playing the piano for seven years.

Judy Cerkoney, Marketing Director

With 30+ years of sales and marketing experience and eight years at Sheldon Park, Judy brings a high level of expertise to her job as a Marketing Director, and knowledge of the city and surrounding areas that is invaluable in recruiting new residents. Judy is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Convention and Visitors Association of Lane County, the Rotary Club and many boards of directors. She also volunteers for Eugene Parks & Recreation and Special Olympics. Judy loves spending time with her family. They all vacation together in Hawaii ever year.

Kathie Smith, Community Relations Director

To her job as a Marketing Director, Kathie applies her experience as Director of Community Relations at Regency Park, a BPM Senior Living Community in Portland, Oregon. Kathie also served as a director of marketing at an assisted living community in the Seattle area. She worked in marketing for Sun Health in Arizona and at Walla Walla General Hospital in Washington. Kathie is passionate about spending time in her kitchen cooking and baking. She also likes to read, spend time with her family and camping adventures with her husband.

Charisa Coxen, LPN Kingswood Administrator

Charisa Coxen has been with Sheldon Park for 6 years. She began her journey as a caregiver and was quickly promoted to medication assistant. In 2007 she received her administrators license and was appointed as the Administrator of Kingswood. In May of 2009 she completed her nursing degree as an LPN. Charisa is a certified trainer for Medic First and teaches First Aid and CPR. She is actively involved with the Alzheimers Association and Oregon Health Care Association. Charisa takes great pride in caring for the residents of Kingswood and their families.

Dorian Arcuri, Life Enrightment Director

Dorian joined Sheldon Park as Personal Preference Coordinator in 2007. In 2009 she took over the Activity Department with the goal to enhance our activity department by combining personal preferences in our daily activity program. She is passionate about each and every one of our residents and strives to preserve their individualality. Dorian brings 25+ years experience in retail management and customer service. For fun, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 26+ years and their two sons, who are competitive golfers. She also does freelance cosmetic artistry for several national companies.

Chris Bray, RN, Health Services Director

Chris Bray comes from a family of nurses including her mother and two sisters. She has been in love with nursing all her life. When she was 5 years of age she chose nursing as her life career. Starting work early, she earned her nursing assistant training through the Red Cross in high school and volunteered at Sacred Heart Hospital and then at the age of 15 went to work in as a nursing assistant at Eugene Good Samaritan. While going to nursing school, Chris worked as an aid at Valley West. She graduated from LCC School of Nursing in 1982. “My love has always been Senior Care and I have remained in this profession since my first job as a nurse at Valley West”, says Bray. In August of 2007, Chris joined the Sheldon Park team. Chris is a native of Eugene where she has lived all her life. She loves to read, play games and visit with her grandchildren.

Don Smith, Dining Services Director

Don brings 40+ years of food services experience to his job as a Food Services Director, including co-ownership in his early 20s of a Dairy Queen franchise in Springfield. He also has worked in both management and ownership capacities at dining establishments ranging from steak houses to truck stops, motels to gourmet restaurants.

Jerry Jefferson, Dining Services Director

Jerry started work at Sheldon Park eight years ago as a dishwasher, then became certified in food service management, and since 2001 has been a Food Services Director. He is highly respected by residents for his years of service and dedication and his willingness to listen and make changes as required.

John Bruehl, Maintenance Director

John has been employed at Sheldon Park for six years, in Food Services, Reception and Housekeeping, and has been Maintenance Director since 2006. He makes his job special with an occasional Elvis impersonation to sing for the residents, or by dancing with them on their birthdays. John enjoys reading and collecting vinyl records.
